The film *Tangled Relationships (2020)* revolves around the complex story of Hye-ran, a young woman living alone until her mother remarries, forcing her to live with Sang-woo, her stepfather’s son. Though not blood-related, Hye-ran develops unspoken feelings for Sang-woo, leaving her confused and uncertain.

Adding to her turmoil, Hye-ran suspects her boyfriend, Gi-joon, is involved with another woman, deepening her distress. Meanwhile, after sleeping with Ji-eun, Sang-woo confesses he’s always thinking of Hye-ran, leading to their breakup.

Late that night, Sang-woo finds Hye-ran on her bed in provocative clothing, pretending to sleep. Unable to resist, he approaches her, and Hye-ran, realizing she desires him too, lets him go further. From then on, their relationship becomes tangled and inescapable.
